Narkissos is commenting on the growing trend of taking selfies. It is linked to mental health conditions that focus on a person’s obsession with looks. Some youths are so obsessed with capturing the perfect shot, they are diagnosed with Body Dysmorphic Disorder. This illness often co-occurs with depression, anxiety, social withdrawal, social isolation and even suicide. The idea of getting the perfect selfie puts you in a mental prison.
